I would like to announce that I will be creating our very own MUD client specifically for BIYG. With MUSHclient now open source, I will be using that to build upon and create a client for our own MUD. While there are not many details about it yet, it will include special features for the MUD (such as included aliases that are helpful, special sounds, etc). Players using the client will also have a bonus (I'm thinking 2x XP gains) for using it. No details are set in stone yet, except for one: You will not be forced to use this client. You will still be able to use any client you wish.

You can preview the client by using MUSHclient. MUSHclient is completely free to use, and is one of the best (and IMO the best) MUD clients out there.

And this is a quick preview of BIYG's client:

I remember a MUD I played that was enhanced for Pueblo use, and it gave us a special chat box, so we were less likely to confuse conversations, battles, and zone resets with each other. The chat box would pick up all emotes, channels, and echo's EXCEPT for your special [URGENT]: All players speak up now, all botters please continue doing so.

I really hope you consider this, Zeno. With resizable window options and all that good junk.

Why x2 exp gains? Wouldn't that offset game balance?

MUSHclient already has a built in duplicate-window option, Teepo.

Hakuri: That was an example. I'm not sure if that'll be the reward. Even if it is, no. The only thing stopping players from using our custom client is their choice, thus they are choosing to lose out on the reward.

Can you help me turn mine on then? I'm kind of retarded. I used to look on Nick's forums for one, and they had one, but I never was able to get it to work correctly. Is it easy or complicated..

Try posting on Gammon's forum asking what you want to do. The only thing I know how to do offhand is create a new dummy window.

You could add a box that lists current inventory.

I'm pretty sure you can already do that with MUSHclient.
