Dr. Himaru says 'Are you looking to change their color?'
Dr. Himaru raises an eyebrow.
Dr. Himaru says 'Ah, well... If you are, just say which and I'll be happy to do it.'
Dr. Himaru says 'It costs a small fee of 1,000 yen, though.'

Dr. Himaru says 'Sorry, you can't afford the surgery yet.'

You get one yen.

You say 'green'
You give Dr. Himaru some Yen.
Dr. Himaru nods solemnly.
Dr. Himaru says 'Alright, then. Have a seat.'
Atari sits down in the chair.
Dr. Himaru says 'You might feel a slight pressure, but don't worry.'
Dr. Himaru leans over Atari and begins the surgery.

Atari changes her eye color to green.

It is highly possible that the area's designer made improper use of variables within the program. In example, it may be reading as:

if yenamt($n) <= 1000
say Sorry, you can't afford the surgery yet.
else
...
...
...

When it should read:

if yenamt($n) <= 999
say Sorry, you can't afford the surgery yet.
else
...
...
...

You get the idea, I am sure. An easy mistake to fix. It shall be noted.
